Thema 4-Media

In theme 4 we were concerned with the medium newspaper.

The serious news that we chose was:

"European Certrally bank: The rate of the euros falls".
We read the articles about this theme in different newspapers such as "Süddeutsche", "Main-Post" and "Bild".

We checked...
...whether the articles are treated in the same way
...whether they are on the front page or inside
...whether they are all put in the same order
...whether they report the same sort of things

Results:
  •  The articles aren't treated all in the same way. In "Süddeutsche" and "Main-Post" you get more information, especially more precise details, than in "Bild"
  •  In all newspapers we couldn't find the articles on the front page but inside
  • The articles are similar ordered. In all newspapers there was a picture under the headline. Under the picture was the article present. In "Süddeutsche" the articles were longer and in "Main-Post" and "Bild" they were shorter.
  • Finally, the last question that we asked us, was thesame sort of things. All texts reported about the same. But in "Bild" we couldn't find as much articles as in "Süddeutsche" and "Main-Post".

After all, you get the most important information in all newspapers. They don't tell wrong facts, but in some papers the news are more serious than in other papers. So you should decide on your own which newspaper you would like to choose and which you think is the best to inform you.
